She isnt pregnant! Just had an infection, but now she is all better.
And her name is Feral Cat, or Fairy for short.

Original post:
She lived in the parking lot for a while now, and is pregnant. Meet unnamed for now cat!

Finally, some Campaign Trail 72 tracks to listen to. These ones might change a bit, but Im digging them for now. These songs only feature me, so the rest of the band might want to change them up a bit.
First is called Infiltration, and can be downloaded here. Features samples from Japanese fighting anime, Yu Yu Hakusho.
The second is a re interpretive version of That Dog’s “Ms Wrong” here. It features samples from both Bill Murray in “Where the Buffalo Roam” and Johnny Depp from “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas” (both playing Hunter S Thompson).
And finally, a short track called just Funk for now, here. It features samples from LOST.

Connie Minowa, stage painter for band Cloud Cult, put out a call earlier this year. She was going to have some time in which she was able to do some painting, and asked if anybody would want to commission her to get a painting done. I was intrigued and immediately contacted her for more information. Cloud Cult is one of my favorite bands, and I love how they feature two painters on stage with them while they play. The other painter is the excellent artist, Scott West. Every one of the paintings is auctioned throughout the show and the winner (s) get to take these masterpieces home with them. I have tried at each of the three Cloud Cult shows I have attended over the last couple of years, but the prices always ended way outside of my budget. She was great to work with, and was able to do a painting for me that fit in my budget. I didn’t know what to get painted when she asked me. I decided to get my dog Hutch (this website, my band Campaign Trail 72, and my solo stuff as killsaly’s mascot) painted and also have it set in a Scottish type scene. My family is originally from that country, as is Hutch’s breed, Shetland Sheepdog. I think it turned out amazingly. It is my first ever original art purchase and art commision, and it is something I will treasure for the rest of my life.

I know it was less than a month ago that I graced you all with a new release. I was doing some audio file clean up and found these tracks to share. Most are from 2004 – 2005 and are some of the first tracks that I ever made. One of them is my first ever stab at remixing Optimus Rhyme, which was never released. Now revision 1 has four new(ish) songs too! These tracks, along with my previous four releases, should complete my entire creative output since 2004, minus tracks I could have lost on a old hard drive meltdown. Enjoy!!!
Tracks:
1. Trouble – (8bit Coldplay cover)
2. Optimus Rhyme – Super Shiny Metal (killsaly first remix)
I haven’t released anything as killsaly in a while, so I finally got around to collecting some things I have been working on, and enjoying. They are video game, shoegaze, and nerdcore remixes, along with song other surprises. Click on this link to listen to individual songs, or right click to save as. The whole album can be grabbed in one fell swoop in a zip file by clicking on the album cover. Enjoy!
Here is a quick rundown of the songs on this mixtape:
Photo and album cover were both done by me.
I have been drawn towards listening to more post-rock lately. The soaring guitars and beautiful instrumentation, as well as the occasional semi shoegaze fuzz freakouts, have captivated my listening attention. So needless to say, it was more than a pleasant surprise to randomly discover an amazing post-rock band the other day. One of my current favorite labels (who was the feature of a recent blog post on this very blog) Sinewave has a chat box running on the right side of the page, and sometimes bands leave their links. On Your Horizon was one such band, leaving a link to a myspace page and the words “turkish post rock band.” My interest was sufficiently piqued and i followed the link. Their page had a link to their debut album, Home, for free download. Sometimes I am wary of albums that bands give away for free. Sometimes, as in the case of the Deprecation Guild’s debut, you get an amazing album. Sometimes, though, it isn’t worth the price. On Your Horizon, fits into the former category.
Clocking in at nine songs, it isnt the longest ride, but it is a fun one. Lead track Clouds On Your Horizon starts with a minute and a quarter of clean guitar notes, and then the cello, bass and drums kick in and the magic happens. The track ends with what I call some epic riffage. The second track, Something We’ve Been Chasing Around, is a bit slower, but still has a nice laidback feel to it. The next song, Zrobię To, wasn’t one of the highlights for me. It’s ok, but doesnt have the feel of the previous tracks. The next is Time Invariant, a minute of guitar riffing. John F. Kennedy Has Never Forgotten Laika, starts with JFK’s voice, “These are extraordinary times…” and continues with post rock goodness. My personal favorite is the next track, Isolation. The instrumentation is haunting at the beginning, and builds up to a satisfying rocking climax. The track ends with the same riff as the beginning and slowly devolves into nothing. The album continues with Her Golden Voice, a track complete with cello and distorted guitars. Thaw, is another short, non drum track. The album ends with the excellent Feel Better Now!, held together with a tight riff.
I hope my descriptions of these tracks have enticed you enough to download this album. It is free after all. If you are a fan of bands like Mogwai, Explosions in the Sky, or God is an Astronaut, you will love this band. My only issue is the fact that they are in Turkey, and I might never have the chance to see them live. But you never know…

This amazing picture was drawn by the artist by the name of spaghettio16. It is a picture of the new Locke from season 6 of Lost, Smoke Monster Locke. Check out his site to see great new pics, updated constantly.
